Marauder Temple is a cutscene mission in Red Faction: Guerrilla.
Summary
As a last resort, Samanya and Alec Mason seek assistance from Vasha inside the Marauder temple. A deal is established, with Vasha granting the Red Faction the use of their particle accelerator inherited from Ultor to be combined with the Nano Forge, creating a weapon powerful enough to destroy the Hydra. As part of the deal, the Nano Forge would be returned to the Marauders once the war has ended.
Dialogue
Alec Mason | You better be right about this. |
Samanya | Trust me. |
- Meeting Vasha
Samanya | Mason, this is Vasha. My sister. |
Vasha | You have brought an outlander. He defiles this place. |
Alec Mason | Well I guess you got all the charm. |
Vasha | You. Show us the Forge. |
Alec Mason | Not until we have a deal. |
Samanya | With the Forge, we can destroy the Hydra. |
Vasha | A ship in orbit is too distant. |
Samanya | Not if you bring the accelerator online. The shell would have the velocity to reach its target. |
Vasha | It is not...impossible. |
Alec Mason | What, you Marauders are rocket scientists now? |
Vasha | You outlanders think us beneath you—And your mistake grants us power. Give us the Forge. |
Alec Mason | It stays with me. You get these freaks in control, or I start vaporizing. |
Samanya | You failed to protect the Forge! This man kept it safe! |
Vasha | Sister, you forget who you are. He is not one of us. |
Samanya | No—but he has fought for you, and if need be he will die for you— |
Alec Mason | Now, wait a minute— |
Samanya | —If it means a free Mars! Free for everyone, Vasha. There is no time to bargain. When you've readied the accelerator, we'll bring you the Forge. |
Vasha | Very well. But remember: This planet is rightfully ours. It will be returned to us. |
- Leaving the temple
Alec Mason | We don't pull this off, all she'll be holdin' is a fistful of dust. |
