Path to War is a Red Faction: Armageddon DLC pack. It was released on August 2, 2011. It introduces 4 levels, 10 new achievements and 2 weapons available to that specific DLC level. The DLC can be purchased on digital retail stores for $6.99.
Plot
Path to War's events takes place approximately 10 hours before the Terraformer failure, where Adam Hale sends his right hand man to take down the terraformer defenses in an Inferno GX. Later on during the events, Frank gives orders to Perez to defend the area of Hale's forces in a Mastiff, as Darius Mason progresses through the mission whilst taking out cultists fortifying the area with an 'Orbital Bombardment Cannon', during the events of the Infestation, further into the Darius' journey after the events of the Terraformer failure, as he continues to Bastion, he has an unexpected encounter with Mallus who ambushes him leading towards Mallus' death.
