The W.A.S.P (Wide Area Saturation Projectile) is a weapon in Red Faction II.

Description

The W.A.S.P is primarily an anti-vehicle weapon. More powerful than the Grenade Launcher, the W.A.S.P fires a barrage of six armour piercing rockets. it has the ability to "lock on" to mobile vehicles and launch a swarm of destruction that will seek out and strike its target. The W.A.S.P is used by Sopots heavily fortified ground troops and guards

Though the W.A.S.P has a slow to medium fire rate, the area of effect damage from being able to fire into a group of enemies is also equally effective at clearing multiple enemies at once, and even better at wreaking havoc on the vehicles throughout the game making it a really good weapon throughout the game.

No major character is seen using the W.A.S.P though the player is able to pick it up rather early via a secret on the Public Information Buildings final level.
