The nano forge was created by Ultor, The Nanoforge is one of the Main parts of the story in Red Faction: Guerrilla. It is located in the Badlands

After finding the mysterious object in the Marauder base you siscover that it is the Nanoforge.

The Nanoforge can then be purchased for 700 salvage and that will grant you the Nano Rifle
