This corridor does have some pickups in it if you continue down it but the way forward will open when Hendrix opens a large door. This room is guarded by four Mercs and two ceiling turrets. Again, you'll need to deal with each of these assailants to keep Hendrix safe. When the way is clear, Hendrix will run in and go into a side closet-like area to open the next door. When the door opens, you'll find a Merc guarding a small passage to the next area who you'll have to kill to keep Hendrix safe. Space Station is the 18th level/chapter in the Red Faction single player campaign. It consists of four individual maps and begins with Parker waking up in a jail cell after being caught in a trap set by Mercs. Merc Command Center is followed by the final section of the game L20: Masako's Lair.

L19S1: Merc Prison Cells

L19S1 starts with Parker waking up in a jail cell after being hit with a knockout agent at the end of Crash Site. The mercenaries took your armor and weapons but stopped short of killing Parker. As Parker wakes, a miner in a cell across the hall will start talking to you. While he's still talking, an armored Red Faction member will run in from the right yelling "Red Faction!" before all the cell doors open. Your liberator and the miner across the hall from you will die very shortly after from gunfire from mercenaries and/or an automatic turret.

At this point, you'll need to rush out from your cell and try to escape the prison. On higher difficulties, you may struggle to get far without dying. To the left from your cell there is a corner area with the automatic turret and a full environmental armor suit hanging from some lockers. In front of your cell the Red Faction fighter dropped his precision rifle so you may want to pick that up. You'll then want to hurry to the armor then you can get behind the automatic turret and take control of it to defend yourself from the mercs who will soon rush at you. Remember that they took all your weapons when you were imprisoned so you'll need to borrow some from mercs in this area to make further progress easier. You can camp out at the turret and wait for some of them to come at you or pick up one of their weapons and use that to progress through the jail. This jail section is in the shape of a capital D with the automatic turret in the bottom corner and the exit is an elevator door in the middle of the curve of D.

I'd suggest taking your time in this section to rearm yourself for your trip through the rest of the Merc Command Center. Of note, there are several fuel cannisters and a Merc with flamethrower that you may find useful. Eventually Hendrix will message you saying he sent your rescuers and asking you to rendezvous with him and the Red Faction in a different part of the Merc Command Center. When you're ready, enter the elevator and press the button to load into L19S2A.

L19S2A: Merc Barracks

You'll load into L19S2A in the elevator you enter at the end of the previous section. You're only objective is to get to the end of the hallway the elevator opens up into since Hendrix and the Red Faction squad you need to meet up with are not in this section. The hallway is flanked with multiple rooms on each side but you don't need to enter any of them unless you want to explore or want health, armor, or weapons that can be picked up in these rooms. Some of the rooms do have dangerous Rail Driver Mercs that can kill you in one shot so be wary of them. As you open the door at the end of the hallway you'll be greeted by one of these Rail Driver Mercs alongside another Merc so be ready to shoot as it opens. You'll load into L19S2B as you walk toward the door at the other end of the walkway linking the two sections.

L19S2B: Merc Command Center

L19S2B starts with Parker entering another part of the Merc Command Center laid out much like L19S2A. Your objective here is to meet up with the Red Faction squad and Hendrix who are stationed in a room with computer equipment at the end of the hall on the left. You can go straight to them or explore the other side rooms. There will be Mercs guarding the main hallway who you will have to fight through. When you reach Hendrix he'll ask you to take the elevator on the other side of the hall up to a floor which has a generator you'll need to shut down.

At the end of the main hallway, there is a door leading to another walkway that opens to another hallway with more rooms. This extra area doesn't have any main objectives but if you enjoy exploring you can check these rooms out for additional enemies and pickups. When you're done exploring this map enter the elevator opposite the room where you met Hendrix and press the button to go to another floor and load into L19S3.
